Birthday with Friends

Baskin Robbins Ice Cream for the B day boy and....they started singing  생일 축하한다는 송^^
Ghazy b'day...celebrated as promised.
@ Savaro's stairs.

Savaro: Malaysian Restaurant

Today was Mas Chairul son, Ghazy's birthday. He invited us to celebrate the occasion in Itaewon right after the Friday prayer. We're planning on having the meal at Indonesian restaurant: Siti Sarah. But...boy oh boy...it's fully booked. So...we went to  Savaro, a Malay food restaurant.
I love the cozy area where we could see the chefs prepare the food.  I learned that Savaro is an abbreviated word that comes from "SAvor our AROma"
There were 17 of us including the newest member of our big family.
Orangutan was visible in some parts of the restaurant.
Got this nasi lemak. Of course. ..I didn't eat the chicken. Mama took over!!
Some of us...@ Savaro. I think the relatively expensive price was due to the fact that this place is situated right in a strategic street of Itaewon.

Full HOUSE!!!

I should've known...no...I should've realized that it was still holiday.
I came to the mosque at 1 pm.only to find myself in the crowds with no where to pray.
Even the rooftop was full.
Alhamdulilah...I did find a space between the parked cars....ㅋㅋ
ㅠㅠ what  a Friday prayer in Seollal.

Transported Back in Time....

The thematic restaurants at Lotte World Mall are lined up at this...... apparently to be a retro theater street.
All alleys were full of Korean movie posters.....that I know nothing about but feel attached to it somehow.
We did not feel like going to restaurant...instead...we felt like going on a trip to the 옛날 서울.
Had I not stopped myself from taking pictures, I would've endep up....going around....skipping my dinner.
oh...There were also lots of cute and funny yet simple art of advertisement back in the 1980s.
It's about...electronic ad. With a twist^^

두부국수 Mie Tahu!!!

oh...I didn't know either that Hard Rock Cafe Seoul was relived in this newly built Lotte World Mall. Not that I wanna go there...it's just that...the demand must've been so great that this was built to cater the said market. Hmmm...wondering.
and...this Lotte Cinema seemed to be a huge one...and will it be a hit? Sure...considering its strategic location.
And....then I bumped into Myeongdong guksu..명동국수 restaurant. ...and ordered tofu noodles for my dinner.

Zoomed into Korea in the 1920s? 1950s? Oh, Well...

We didn't expect to find this thematic line up of restaurants at the 5th and 6th floor of Lotte World Mall. The concept is pretty good actually. I could delve into and peeking into the details that this area wanted to recreate.
We could bring ourselves into the romanticism of the laid-back retro designs....
even a record store was in store for us to dig in. But...of course. ..they're parts of the whole thematic restaurant.
Even a tram that used to dot the sight and sound of Seoul was being displayed...complete with its own tracks.
...got enough time? Just hop on and feel the retro feel!!
*definitely. ...a must visit and re-visit restaurants in Seoul....even just for a mere sight seeing!!!♡

Crown Full of Wishing Cards

Encountered this enormous crown specially designed for Lotte Avenuel visitors who may want to write their wishes on cards.
All floors of the mall were closed except the 7th-8th floor of Duty Free Shop. This one was opened since visitors could use this 1st floor to access other partly opened area of this gigantic mall....which has just been opened for 100 days!!!
Mama wrote something on this card.
wow....too many cards!!!

Lotte World's Front Facade at Night

There you go. Seollal 2015.

More Silhouettes....^^

Silhouettes of me...with mama...Eyra and Freya.
A cool way to get into a different world of our lives. Phew...Eyra and Freya were really grown up and...boy...they weighed more than I anticipated^^

Lotte World in Seollal MEANS....

1.90% of visitors is foreigners (Probably)!
2. Waiting time for one ride takes about 1 hour at least!
3. Chatting time while waiting.* yup...we're going there with other Indonesian families.
4. We barely hear people speak Korean. Instead. ..we hear more Chinese being spoken all around us. Even the ride guards, too😅 wow.
5. ....we HAD fun, whatsoever.
thanks to annual membership. ..we didn't bother rushing things up. Skip some for our next visits.
....and...at least, they made it to ride the balloon.

Chubby Weight lifter!! @ Jamsil

Walking towards Seoul Tower @Jamsil. Encountered this chubby looking statue.so cute that I couldn't refrain myself from not taking a pic.
Not many people. ...
I just loveeeed the branches of the trees in winter.
롯데타워가 보인다. 맑은 날속에 멋지게될 건물.
자전거들이 나란히 서서 얘기하듯^^
